Neko Atsume guide

All the zabuton, cushions, mats and pads are pretty much the same. The nekos use them the same way.

Like the big cushion, the cubes can be put in a small location yet accommodate 2 cats so they’re quite worth it. The tree trunk with hole (stump house) and mushroom house/shiitake house too.

The nekos can sink into the soft cushions (dark brown, sheep, sakura mochi, hamburger or beads(bean bag),Mister Penguin) and look quite cute so you may want to get 1 of these.

The burger and hot cake cushions are slightly more versatile. Better to get the burger/hot cake cushion though as the extra poses for the dark brown cushion are similar to the poses for the hammock or cushion or zabuton.

The dome cushions, tents, macarons, egg beds and shu cream house are pretty similar. It’s hard to see much of the cats when they’re in the macarons though.

So you should get:

Box items

All the boxes are pretty different so it’s good to get them all.

The small box and gift box are similar:

The cats stick their heads into the cake box (their tails swish back and forth (animated) or just stay still with their tails sticking striahgt up, so cute!):

Pretend to be a tortoise with the medium sized box:

You should get all the box items, and either the gift box or small box.

Change to English

Neko Atsume is now in English! It’s very easy to change it to English. Just go to settings in the menu:

Press ‘English’:

After that it will seem like nothing has happened, but just press the ‘x’ button at the top left.

Your English game will now load!

Voila! It’s all in English! Do note however that some of it is not the ‘exact’ translation. Just compare to the translations I’ve done of the cat profiles and you’ll see what I mean. Even the cat names are different! I think I’ll stick to playing it in Japanese 🙂 How about you? Will you be switching to English?

キッドさん Kid San / Billy the Kitten

Kid San is awfully cute! It’s funny cause when you type in katakana to get his name, you have to type ‘kiddo’. LOL.

Treasure: antique coin – an old beautiful coin with carving. Both sides of the coin look the same.

He comes for the Western hat.

Ball items

Ball items:

The pink, yellow, blue and watermelon ball are played with similarly by the cats (animated).

The ‘pinpon’ ball however is a bit different so I would recommend it if you want variety. The cat uses its tail and right forepaw to play with it (animated):

The mocchiri ball (stress reliever) and capsule ball are played the same way as the baseball by normal cats, but the shape of the mocchiri changes while it’s being played with (animated).

The pink ball of yarn and soccer ball are played the same way (animated) as the temari ball by the normal cats. I think it’s just precious the way their legs move the ball.

Special items – baseball (for Tatejima San), temari ball (for Maromayu San)

1 of the normal balls, pinpon ball and the mocchiri ball shape changes a little while it’s rolling around so I guess it’s kinda cute.

Add pages in album

Meow! I’m so happy that we can now add pages to the cats’ albums!

It’s really simple to do. Click the icon at the bottom right of the album:

This will pop up, click ‘yes’ (it costs 10 golden anchovies to add a page)

You don’t need to add the page before taking a photo of a cat because when you take a photo of a cat with a full album, the game will lead you to the album so you have the option right then and there to either delete a photo in the album so that the new 1 can replace it, or to add a page.
