Box items

All the boxes are pretty different so it’s good to get them all.

The small box and gift box are similar:

The cats stick their heads into the cake box (their tails swish back and forth (animated) or just stay still with their tails sticking striahgt up, so cute!):

You should get all the box items, and either the gift box or small box.

Change to English

Neko Atsume is now in English! It’s very easy to change it to English. Just go to settings in the menu:

Press ‘English’:

change to English

After that it will seem like nothing has happened, but just press the ‘x’ button at the top left.

Your English game will now load!

Voila! It’s all in English! Do note however that some of it is not the ‘exact’ translation. Just compare to the translations I’ve done of the cat profiles and you’ll see what I mean. Even the cat names are different! I think I’ll stick to playing it in Japanese 🙂 How about you? Will you be switching to English?

キッドさん Kid San / Billy the Kitten

Kid San is awfully cute! It’s funny cause when you type in katakana to get his name, you have to type ‘kiddo’. LOL.

Physical characteristic: neckerchief

Personality: nihilistic

Treasure: antique coin – an old beautiful coin with carving. Both sides of the coin look the same.

He comes for the Western hat.

はいさびさん Haisabi San / Spooky

Personality: shy / reserved

Treasure: present ribbon – a slightly twisted ribbon that was tied on a gift box

Personality: amiable/affable towards humans

Treasure: juice bottle cap – bottle cap of which pattern has never been seen, behind there’s some thin cork stuck on it

Add pages in album

Meow! I’m so happy that we can now add pages to the cats’ albums!

It’s really simple to do. Click the icon at the bottom right of the album:

This will pop up, click ‘yes’ (it costs 10 golden anchovies to add a page)

You don’t need to add the page before taking a photo of a cat because when you take a photo of a cat with a full album, the game will lead you to the album so you have the option right then and there to either delete a photo in the album so that the new 1 can replace it, or to add a page.

You can widen the area when taking a photo of the cat – just ‘pinch in’ and ‘pinch out’ to change the size

widened area to take a photo (the white box you see is the widest you can go now)

No. of photos you can put in the ‘free album’ has increased from 48 to 72

The free album can have a max of 16 pages (96 photos) and the individual albums can have a max of 8 pages (48 photos)

*A 1-page increase will cost 10 gold anchovies.

くりーむさん Cream San / Peaches

Cream San is very elusive! If you do manage to see Cream San, make sure you get a photo! So far, in my garden the top 3 goods for Cream San are the Nodategasa (red traditional style umbrella). chirimen cushion and blizzard tent.

たてじまさん Tatejima San / Joe DiMeowgio

Tatejima (vertical stripes) San looks like he’s wearing a Hanshin Tigers uniform. I read on Neko Atsume’s twitter feed that many people misunderstand that he’s holding a baseball bat, it’s actually a microphone! Tatejima San comes to the neko atsume garden to…stare at the baseball. hahaha.
